 Vitamin D [Calciferol]

Vitamin D produce naturally in the human body when skin is exposed to the sunlight vitamin D is a steroid harmone that has been known it important role in regulating body level of calcium and phosphorus . The liver and kidney help convert vitamin D to it's active harmone form.

Vitamin D is collective term use to describe a collection of compound

*Vitamin D2-found in plant

*Vitamin D3-found in animal fat

Function of vitamin D

Once vitamin D is absorbed into the blood stream the liver and kidney change calciferol into calcitriol  . Calcitriol is a biological active form of vitamin D perform to major role.
